ALCHE Students Take Top Spots at Inter-University Business Pitch Competition

Students from the African Leadership College of Higher Education (ALCHE) secured first and third place at the Inter-University Business Pitch Competition hosted by Middlesex University Mauritius on 22 May 2026.

The competition brought together student teams from universities across Mauritius to pitch innovative business ideas, strengthen their entrepreneurial skills, and engage with industry professionals and potential investors.

ALCHE was represented by five student teams, all of whom demonstrated strong business acumen, creativity, and presentation skills throughout the competition.

Team Gradwyn, comprising Chibuzor Moses Uzowuru, Amahn Heuvel, and Yahya Bouhaik, was awarded first place and received the competition’s cash prize for their winning business pitch.

Team Home Cho, represented by Korkor Ndede Kojo and Moses Yenduka Kolaan, secured third place, giving ALCHE two of the competition’s three podium finishes.

The results reflect ALCHE’s commitment to developing entrepreneurial leaders who can identify opportunities, build innovative solutions, and communicate their ideas with confidence in competitive, real-world environments.

Through opportunities such as the Inter-University Business Pitch Competition, ALCHE students apply classroom learning in practice, receive feedback from industry professionals, and strengthen the entrepreneurial skills needed to build ventures with real-world impact.

Congratulations to Team Gradwyn, Team Home Cho, and all five ALCHE teams for representing ALCHE with distinction.
